With a background in product and engineering, Kahini invests in robotics and frontier AI companies building the future of business.

Kahini has led investments in portfolio companies including Eka Robotics, Gray Swan, Open Hands, Oumi, and Hostie.

Before joining Obvious, Kahini was an investor at Google’s early-stage AI fund, Gradient Ventures. She started her career as software developer writing embedded systems code for the Iridium NEXT Satellite Constellation. Kahini then managed product and sales for an AI group at Booz Allen Hamilton focused on natural language processing.

Kahini holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. She also earned an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Kahini is originally from Maryland, and lived in India for over a decade. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and photography.
