Lyn Lear


Lyn Davis Lear is a producer, activist and philanthropist whose main passions are the arts and the environment, specifically related to climate change. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Sundance Institute, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Norman Lear Center at USC.

In 1989, Ms. Lear combined her driving passions and co-founded the Environmental Media Association (EMA), created to inspire and educate the public about global environmental issues through multiple media platforms. Ms. Lear produced the opening film for the UN Climate Summit for world leaders in September 23, 2014. Ms. Lear has achieved many awards. The latest being in 2013, when she was given, along with the Honorable Al Gore, the UCLA IoES Environmental Excellence Award. Ms. Lear holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and has a license in marriage and family therapy. She is married to producer Norman Lear and is the mother of three children.
